Note that the handout for Mathcad and lab manuals can be obtained from your lab session and lab manuals can also be downloaded from here).
Week 2+3 (8/29-9/9):
- Homework #1 posted; due 9/12 (due to Labor day).
- Lab M1, pre-lab questions due in your lab section.
- Reading: Taylor chapter 2.5 - 2.6, 3.2, 3.5 - 3.6, 3.11 and the following summary pages (p.77 - 79). Sorry, the book is very verbose and Taylor starts from special cases to the general equation. However, if you read diagonally and understand the boxed equations and related examples you are in business. The punch lines and most important equations are eq. 3.16 - 3.19 in 3.6 and eq. 3.47 - 3.48 in 3.11.
Week 4 (9/12-9/16):
- Homework #2 posted; due 9/19.

- No new reading. Review lecture notes and the relevant sections in Taylor up to chapter 3 as needed for hw and lab.
Week 5 (9/19 9/23):
